IDEAL Industries is seeking a highly skilled Accountant with supervisory experience in Accounts Payable (AP) or Accounts Receivable (AR) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and supporting the team in enhancing efficiencies. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations
  • Ensure timely and precise financial reporting
  • Generate financial statements and forecasts for management review
  • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results, proactively recommending areas for improvement
  • Calculate monthly sales incentives and commission payments
  • Support ERP system implementation and optimization
  • Prepare and file government and Census Bureau reports
  • Assist with internal and external audit processes
  • Manage and track fixed assets within D365
  • Provide accounting guidance and supervision support for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable operations
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP standards in all financial transactions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Strong analytical skills: must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, multi-task and work independently
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting theory and practice as well as GAAP
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and third parties
  • Exhibit objectivity and openness to others’ views; contribute to building a positive team spirit and ability to put success of team above own interestsDemonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, identify areas of improvement and promote quality while increasing productivity.
  • Seek increased responsibility, look for and take advantage of opportunities, ask for and offer help when needed
  • Adhere to policies and procedures; complete tasks on time, take responsibility for actions, support organizations objectives and strategy, strive to continuously build knowledge and skills
  • Solid, concise written and oral communication skills

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • CPA certification or license is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting
  • Supervisory experience in AR or AP preferred
  • Experience with D365 preferred

 

 

 

The expected annual salary for this position is between $75,504.00 and $101,553.00. This range represents a good faith estimate for the position and actual compensation will be based on numerous factors including knowledge, location, skills, training and experience.
