The Photographer will sit on our in-house marketing communications team, the IDEAL Integrated Marketing Group [IMG]. They will be responsible for photographing and visually representing our brands and products. The position will support IDEAL Industries, Inc. and our three brands: IDEAL Electrical™, Anderson Power™, and Enatel. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for creativity, and the technical skills necessary to produce high-quality images. They will work collaboratively with the communications and marketing teams to develop visual content that aligns with brand guidelines and business objectives.

 

This is a hybrid position. The candidate should be able to drive out to our headquarters in Sycamore, Illinois 2-3 days per week, to utilize the IMG photo/content studio to capture assets. Lighting, props, etc. will be provided. Camera equipment to be provided by candidate with a stipend offered for wear and tear.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Photoshoot Planning & Management – Utilizing established IMG process and in collaboration with the creative team, the photographer will manage photoshoots from start to finish including initial brainstorming, pre-planning timelines, shot lists, props, talent coordination, etc. The photographer will coordinate meetings and approvals of stakeholders throughout the process.
  • Ecommerce & Application Photography – This role will heavily support visual asset capture for e-commerce use-cases including shooting product imagery on white backgrounds. The role will also shoot application photography for use throughout mediums and will need to be comfortable being on-set in a variety of commercial and industrial settings.
  • Asset Approval – Manage approval process for captured assets, including standardizing approval processes.
  • Photo Editing – Retouch all photos to ensure final files meet brand standards and requests of the business.
  • Photo Asset Management – Using established process, organize, name and file all edited assets into digital asset library.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in photography, visual arts, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of professional photography experience
  • Corporate/brand marketing experience preferred
  • Proficiency with photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom
  • Experience using Digital Asset Management Systems
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of photography styles and techniques

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions
  • Extremely organized and able to keep track of multiple projects using project management software
  • Creative, collaborative, adaptable and team-minded
  • Experience working with complex, matrixed and process-oriented teams
  • Experience creating and upholding process for their function
  • Intrapreneurial, strategic thinker
  • Able to work successfully on an independent basis in a remote setting
  • Attention to detail and drive for results
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment

 

 

 

The expected hourly rate for this position is between $25.00 to $35.00 per hour.
