The Global Controller plays a critical role in leading the financial operations of a multinational organization. As the Global Controller, you will play a crucial role in leading the financial management and reporting functions of our global organization. With a strong focus on being a strategic business partner, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive financial insights, optimize processes, and support informed decision-making. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of the company by ensuring financial integrity and promoting financial transparency across the organization.

Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Act as a strategic business partner to senior leadership, offering financial insights and recommendations to support the achievement of organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to understand their objectives and provide financial guidance for strategic planning and operational decision-making.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains in financial processes, systems, and reporting.
  • Perform in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks that could impact the organization's financial performance.

Compliance and Internal Controls:

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial policies across the organization, mitigating financial risks and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Lead the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors and internal teams to facilitate a smooth and efficient audit cycle.

Global Consolidation:

  • Manage the global consolidation process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial results for multiple entities across various jurisdictions.
  • Monitor foreign exchange impact on financial statements and implement strategies to manage currency risk.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance team members' skills and contribute to their career growth.

Systems and Process Improvement:

  • Evaluate existing financial systems and processes, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Drive the implementation of technological solutions to streamline financial operations and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; a Master's degree and CPA qualification strongly preferred.
  • Extensive experience in financial management and accounting, with a proven track record of progressively responsible roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and relevant financial regulations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to provide valuable insights for business decision-making.
  • International experience with global entities, particularly in Europe and Asia, strongly preferred.
