The IT Technical Analyst will report to the IT – Business Systems Manager and will serve as a key IT point of contact to IT team members as well as service partners for all ERP software development and technical integration areas.

 

The position will provide global stewardship over Cree Lighting ERP development and development testing standards, drive communication and adoption of standards, and ensure adherence to standards by internal and external parties. This role will also be instrumental in reviewing and auditing the quality of technical developments produced by internal and external parties to Cree Lighting ERP development and coding efficiency standards. In addition to providing stewardship over Cree Lighting ERP Development standards, this position will also work closely with vendor, external and internal consulting resources to provide high level of service and ensure adherence to Cree Lighting ERP Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile practices and Project Management Office standards.

 

The IT Technical Analyst will provide technical design and development leadership to key business system projects and enhancements, including technical work scoping and estimation, execution management, technical design review and approval, and general issue troubleshooting and resolution. This role is also expected to provide hands-on technical design and development services as required, converting business requirements into robust and scalable global solutions aligned with Cree Lighting’s broader enterprise architecture and integration strategies as well as executing on technical analysis and development activities in support of key project, enhancements, and critical incidents.

 

Lastly, as Cree Lighting’s business systems evolve over time to take advantage cloud-based offerings (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, etc.), this role will help shape the direction of future ERP software development and technical integration standards.

 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide global stewardship over Cree Lighting ERP development and development testing standards, drive communication and adoption of standards, and ensure adherence to standards by internal and external parties.
  • Review and audit the quality of technical developments produced by internal and external parties to Cree Lighting ERP development and coding efficiency standards.
  • Work closely with vendor, external and internal consulting resources to provide high level of service and ensure adherence to Cree Lighting ERP Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile processes and Project Management Office standards.
  • Provide technical design and development leadership to key business system projects and enhancements, including technical work scoping and estimation, execution management, technical design review and approval, and general issue troubleshooting and resolution.

What you need for success? 

  • 5+ years experience providing technical design, development, and integration services for Oracle ERP environments with broad exposure to order management, shipping, planning, manufacturing, procurement, inventory and warehousing, costing and finance.
  • 2+ years’ experience directly managing and supporting technical development of Oracle ERP information systems with integration to MSCA and label printing devices as well as external transportation management and MES systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Oracle ERP technology stacks, including Oracle Forms and OA Framework (Java / HTML) development, Oracle SQL & Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle ADF, Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle JDeveloper, Oracle Workflow, Common Web Services standards and implementations.
  • Proven ability to architect the integration of distributed business solutions whether deployed on premise or in public or private cloud.
  • Proven ability to drive projects forward while leading internal and external resources through the requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment phases of complex ERP developments.
  • Ability to conceptualize and communicate potential solutions to business issues that may extend beyond your sphere of responsibility.
  • Ability to work within a 24/7 global organization.

Skills and certifications

  • IT Experience in a manufacturing industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related fields
