This HR Internship will give the selected individual the chance to gain general knowledge of Human Resources through hands-on involvement in many of the HR initiatives within a global company.   The intern will have exposure to a wide range of HR projects. This is a part time opportunity working up to 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Job duties include:

  • Partner with HR leaders and business managers on Human Resources initiatives
  • Assist in recruiting activities including sourcing of candidates, scheduling of interviews, and participation in interview / hiring / onboarding process
  • Provide excellent customer service to Hiring Managers and HR business partners
  • Ability to work with HRIS systems to include people management systems, as well as recruiting/hiring systems.
  • Provide administrative support and document coordination
  • Participate in special projects as required
  • Provide other administrative assistance to the HR department as required

Qualifications

Requirements:  

  • Must be currently pursuing a Bachelors’ degree in business, human resources, or labor relations with a minimum 3.0 GPA required
  • Experience in sourcing applicants
  • Conducting Phone Screens and Interviews with candidates
  • Overseeing the full scope of the candidate hiring process (sourcing, interviewing, conducting offers, on-boarding and keying candidate in ADP)
  • Excellent communication skills           
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with a focus on details
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization and in a variety of work environments
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft programs to prepare reports, spreadsheets. Experience with HRIS programs a plus
  • Ability to appropriately handle confidential / sensitive data, materials, and correspondence
  • Good planning, organizing and multi-tasking skills; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
