    Job Title:                    Petroleum Regional Sales Manager- Southeast

    SUMMARY The primary purpose of the Regional Manager is to initiate, develop, and maintain a relationship between our Petroleum Representatives, larger national accounts, distributors, and specifiers, with our company. This individual will be self-motivated, require a technical aptitude. Lighting knowledge is beneficial and experience in the Petroleum vertical is preferred.  Excellent communication skills and experience in managing a team are critical components to success in this position.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

     

    Increase the sales and specifications of our lighting products within the region.

     

    Cultivate representative and distributor sales team.

     

    Develop new customer relationships including end users, distributors, A&E firms and enhance relationships with existing customers

     

    Establish a contact list, grading and roll out program for the region.

     

    Work cohesively with our internal support structure to ensure customer satisfaction.

     

    To communicate regularly with our internal support group with such items such as:  activity, list management follow up necessities, account management, lead generation and/or other items determined VP Sales and Marketing.

     

    This is a traveling position, estimated travel 70%, therefore must be able to plan and organize efficient travel schedules to maximize trip productivity.

     

    Other activities are necessary, determined by the VP of Sales.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Four year college degree or university program certificate; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

     

    Strong technical background desired.

     

    Experience with the Lighting Industry preferred.

     

    LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

     

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

     

    REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
