  • Overview

    The Digital Marketing Specialist will lead the implementation and maintenance of all digital channels for IDEAL Electrical, including website, email and social media. The specialist is responsible for integrating and executing digital marketing into the overall marketing activities across the organization as well as driving future adoption of ecommerce site with end users. This role also supports marketing efforts related to new digital technology initiatives including improving the online customer experience. As a proactive leader and the voice of digital on the marketing team, the specialist provides support, education and thought leadership for a range of digital marketing projects and other tasks assigned by their manager. The specialist works closely with the Marketing Manager and other departments to leverage digital channels in ways that help IDEAL Electrical achieve its objectives. The position reports to the IDEAL Electrical Marketing Manager.

    Responsibilities

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

     Social Media

    • Maintain and create content for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other platforms
    • Utilize SEO and other analytical measuring tools for increased engagement
    • Create new campaigns (drive traffic and redirect to IDEAL Electrical website)

    Website

    • Create content and update site (new products, product features, and company updates)
    • Act as point of contact for “User-generated” content page. Receive, filter, wordsmith story, and placement on page.
    • Utilize SEO and other analytical measuring tools to optimize site content and traffic
    • Handle day-to-day trigger campaigns and content

    PR Roles

    • Email campaigns
    • Building relationships with tool-related publications, blogs and other social media pages
    • Press Releases, sample tool kits with literature, and other PR documents

    Events and Tradeshows

    • Attend end user events and tradeshows as directed to understand the needs of the end user and generate content for social media pages and website with.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Four-year college degree, with 1-3 years post-college experience in digital marketing, or the equivalent in experience
    • Must be proficient/native user of digital media (social media, web, ecommerce)
    • Computer software knowledge and proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and photo editing software
    • Some knowledge/experience with Google Adwords / Facebook advertising preferred
    • Must have ability to travel within the US on occasion
    • HTML/CSS, Magneto, Adobe Creative Suite preferred

    • Creative and analytical problem solving skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment
