    The Program Manager will be part of a new and dynamic team supporting IDEAL INDUSTRIES Government Business. This critical role is responsible for managing the process from quote origination through order fulfillment. The candidate will work with a wide variety of cross-functional team members across multiple IDEAL Business Units. Key success measures for this role includes: Program Revenue Growth, On-time Delivery to Customers, Cost Reductions and converting outsourced products to in-house manufacturing.


    • Lead the IDEAL organization in the fulfillment of the Government Kit business by coordinating all activities from quote processing through Kit shipments to the customer.
    • Provide leadership assuring that necessary program reviews are in place for compliance to customer requirements: coordinate/facilitate management reviews and support leadership team meetings
    • Manage compliance reporting processes that provide timely and relevant information on all pertinent aspects of government programs compliance issues
    • Coordinate with IDEAL Representative Agency to ensure all government requirements are met on all Kit types offered in the marketplace.
    • Manage the quote process to maximize IDEAL manufactured and trademarked content; ensure proper and accurate cost information for each SKU and timely turnaround of RFQ to meet customer requirements in support of revenue growth.
    • Develop and ensure adoption of processes that support program goals and business needs
    • Manage the validation process with Customer Service to ensure the Customer PO matches the quote BOM prior to acceptance.
    • Develop and manage fulfillment expectations (i.e., lead times) based on Kit Specifications and Customer Requirements.
    • Ensure all information relative to part number, forecasted volume, SKU inventory, SKU cost, etc., is accurate and maintained in a format that can be utilized amongst IDEAL Business Units.
    • Work with Supply Chain to manage delivery for purchased and manufactured items to achieve Kit fulfillment (i.e., On-time Delivery) while managing overall inventory levels.
    • Develop and manage plans to bring purchased products in-house to reduce cost and grow IDEAL content.
    • Manage Kitting & Shipping processes to meet delivery requirements.
    • Assist Sales Organization with forecasting.
    • Assist Accounting with Financial Reporting.


    • Bachelor’s Degree Required (Engineering Degree Preferred).
    • 5+ years’ minimum experience in project management and/or logistics management, and Voice of Customer (VOC) process. (PMP preferred)
    • 3+ years’ experience in Government program management to include familiarity with Government procurement methodologies and related systems, as well as compliance
    • 10+ years’ experience in Manufacturing Industry
    • Able to work effectively in a team environment and lead cross functional projects
    • Knowledge of Engineering concepts
    • Excellent verbal and written communication to develop the completion of customer and management technical and business presentations, proposals, and reports
    • Ability to think creatively and strategically.
    • Ability to analyze problems, identify alternative solutions and implement recommendations in support of goals



    • Must have strong organizational skills and be able to prioritize tasks.
    • Demonstrated sense of urgency.
    • Demonstrate competence in office software applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and engineering computer applications. SolidWorks experience a plus.
    • Must be very internal customer focused and results driven.
