    The Wireless Controls Estimator is responsible for inside project support for the Audacy Territory Sales Managers and Field Support Engineers (FSEs). The Wireless Controls Estimator will work with the Audacy® Wireless Lighting Control system as well as the IDEAL Wireless HVAC sensor system and provide accurate layouts, takeoffs, bills of material (BOMs), and quotes to prospective customers and projects. This position is critical in supporting the pre-sale efforts of the AWS sales team.

    Responsibilities

    • Effectively read and evaluate architectural, electrical, lighting control Reflected Ceiling Plans (RCP) and HVAC drawings.
    • Create an accurate takeoff of lighting fixtures, emergency fixtures, lighting controls, and/or wireless HVAC sensors, including creating new layouts and bills of material (BOM) to be utilized to provide customer quotes on lighting and HVAC installations.
    • Maintain project drawings on a per-project basis and facilitate forward progress regarding assigned tasks in Salesforce CRM tool.
    • Read and check lighting specifications to ensure they are accurate and consistent with layout and applications illustrated on the drawings.
    • Prepare and submit supporting documentation for energy rebates, incentives, tax credits, and other related items that support the cost justification of AWS comprehensive value-added offerings.
    • Maintain up-to-date database of above programs on a national level
    • Build customer quotes from BOMs
    • Create reports for sales pipeline activity via Salesforce.com
    • Interact with professionals (e.g., architects, engineers, lighting designers) via phone/web to clarify outstanding questions regarding specifications or drawings.
    • Build customer quotes based on takeoffs and input from Director of Sales, RPSMs, FSEs, Business Unit Management, AUDACY agencies, etc., in a timely manner
    • Verification of accuracy of the specifications and quantities for customer and project orders.
    • Estimate changes for bulletins/addendums on existing projects in progress.
    • Act as secondary technical sales support as back-up to FSEs (phone/email only).

    Qualifications

    • 4-year degree, technical discipline preferred
    • 2-4 years of experience in working with electrical, lighting, or HVAC construction documents (e.g., reflected ceiling plans, layouts, etc.)
    • Experience with Computed Aided Design (CAD) tools preferred, to assist in the creation of layouts and takeoffs.
    • Strong organization and coordination skills
    • Able to handle multiple projects concurrently
    • Past experience with CAD or layout software (e.g., Bluebeam, AutoCAD, etc.) a plus
    • Experience with national energy rebate and incentive programs a plus
    • Previous experience with any of the following products a plus:
      • Wireless/RF devices
      • Lighting controls
      • HVAC sensors
      • Building automation systems
    • Acts with integrity
    • Strong computer skills including all Microsoft Office applications
    • Knowledge of Salesforce.com or other CRM, preferred
    • Learning agility – ability and desire for continuous learning
