    The Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for customer relationship building and generating sales to AUDACY prospects and customers of IDEAL’s Advanced Wireless Solutions business unit. This role will also provide support for outside sales, customer service, and administrative support to profitably grow global sales of IDEAL wireless sensors and lighting controls with a primary emphasis on the North American marketplace.

    • Qualify sales leads and build customer relationships that result in sales of IDEAL’s AUDACY Advanced Wireless Solutions products.
    • Providing inside sales support to the Regional Project Sales Managers (RPSMs), to prepare customer quotations and proposals and to follow-up on pending sales with end customers, wireless Agency partners and contractors.
    • Traditional customer service support such as order entry, customer inquiries and order processing
    • Provide support for project tracking, pricing, lead time quoting, reporting and analysis (e.g. product line, customer, sales and competitors)
    • New sales prospecting through use of industry tools, including identification of new projects that could be qualified candidates for IDEAL products, and developing contact lists of key project influencers for sales to pursue.
    • Build customer quotes from provided bills of material
    • Create reports for sales pipeline activity via
    • Help define system requirements for bids, product recommendations and layouts, such as appropriate product selection for given applications and selecting necessary IDEAL documentation for a project and completing modifications as required.
    • Facilitate formal RMA process to log and track all pertinent data for returns, replacements and warranty related issues.
    • Contribute to maintaining product support material including updating instructions, developing and updating data sheets, whitepapers, FAQ’s, and web content
    • Facilitate salesforce uploads and 1st touch phone/email follow up for all industry related regional and national tradeshow leads and facilitate appropriate outside sales introductions and transitions when opportunities reach appropriate stage and probability.


    • 1-5 years of sales and customer-facing experience (inside or outside sales), with support for electrical, lighting, HVAC, and/or wireless products preferred.
    • Demonstrated customer service experience
    • Strong analytical and execution abilities
    • Bachelor Degree in Business or related field
    • Demonstrated capabilities at customer account planning and sales
    • Professional, customer-facing demeanor
    • Detail-oriented, especially when maintaining large amounts of customer data
    • Previous experience with electronic devices, preferably in lighting controls, building automation and/or HVAC, preferred
    • Strong computer skills including all Microsoft Office applications
    • Knowledge of or other CRM a plus
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV a plus
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
