SUMMARY OF POSITION

Reporting directly to the General Manager and indirectly to the SVP HR of IDEAL INDUSTRIES INC, the Human Resources Manager is a key member of the Management Team; and drives the organizational development activity that supports the business strategies and results. Additionally, this role manages all human resource related issues for a manufacturing facility with professional, production, technical, and administrative employees.

Responsibilities

  • Business Partner - Serve as a key member of the team to assist in driving business results. Develop and drive people and organizational development strategies that are aligned with the business strategy.
  • Employee Advocate / Relations - Assist in building management capability to facilitate an open, inclusive, IDEAL culture-based environment that enables effective employee relations.   Ensure role is perceived as an objective employee resource and escalation path for unresolved employee relations issues.   May conduct investigations and provide conflict resolution as necessary.
  • Performance Management - Navigates managers and employees through talent management processes including performance management and succession planning. Identifies training and development opportunities for both managers and employees.
  • Talent Acquisition - Responsible for the hiring process, including working with the management team to determine staffing needs, identify candidates, conduct interviews, candidate selection and offer recommendations, and manage employee onboarding process
  • Administration & Compliance – Oversee local benefits and compensation programs, performance management programs and government compliance, including maintenance of employee records and representing the company in unemployment, workers compensation, EEO, ADA, FMLA OSHA & EPA issues
  • Change Agent - Partner with, and coach, the business leadership team to facilitate organizational and cultural change. Act as a catalyst for building Organizational Effectiveness within the business. Educate the business on HR trends that affect the business.
  • Corporate Initiatives - Participates with the global Human Resources team on company-wide HR initiatives and long-term HR strategic planning

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field is required
  • 1-2 years HR experience Minimum
  • Previous experience working in a LEAN manufacturing environment preferred
  • Must be a “hands-on” professional with a proven knowledge of employee relations, leadership development, training, organizational development, performance management, compliance issues, communications, salaried and hourly staffing, and compensation/benefit administration
