In this role, the Inside Sales Representative is responsible for driving incremental sales with current and new customers via phone and email. This includes making outbound calls and taking inbound calls to meet established goals.  Success in this role requires the ability to successfully prospect for new sales opportunities via telephone and email; to present an in-depth knowledge of our products and solutions; to identify and develop opportunities and close sales.  This position reports to the Customer Service and Inside Sales Manager.



  • Maximize usage of phone and email based communications to reach current, prospective and inactive customers to increase incremental sales.
  • Work cross-functionally to define customer needs and requirements to close a sale or pass on as a qualified lead to the Regional Sales Managers.
  • Network and prospect for new customers
  • Develop thorough understanding of each customer’s industry and business in order to recommend specific products and solutions to fit their needs.
  • Build relationships at all levels within the organization.
  • Provide customer quotations and product samples.
  • Follow up with the customer to ensure that the requested information, quote and/or samples arrived, answer any questions and identify when an order is anticipated.
  • Close sales and achieve established metrics.
  • Identify and resolve client concerns and technical inquiries.
  • Manage and track progress on every lead from receipt through to the final result.
  • Support  key accounts, manufacturer’s reps and outside sales as required.
  • Perform other related duties as required.




  • An Associates or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • A minimum of 3 years professional and relevant experience serving in a consultative sales role supporting either pre-sales or post-sales functions of an organization.
  • Ability to successfully articulate technical information to electrical and mechanical engineers.
  • Portrays company and oneself in a professional manager over the telephone and in written correspondences.
  • Excellent interpersonal business skills including the ability to communicate effectively and build strong customer relationships.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Self-motivated and driven for results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint , and Outlook.
  • Exposure to MRP/ERP  preferred.
