This position is a first shift position, M-F 7:00AM - 3:30PM. This is a salary grade 14.


Primary Responsibilities: 


  • Follow all safety procedures.
  • Operate multiple stamping presses with limited direction from the Supervisor and/or Team Lead, including but not limited to machine setup and/or job setup, material changeover, troubleshooting and routine maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintains housekeeping in the work area.
  • Other related duties as directed by management.


Skills/Competencies Required:


  • Must have working knowledge of stamping press operations.
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written multi-step directions for semi-complex tasks.
  • Machine operation and quality inspection experience are desired.
  • Mechanical aptitude is required; the ability to multi-task and understand cause/effect relationships are skills that the successful candidate should have.  An above average sense of urgency to meet daily goals is paramount.
  • This position will require an OSHA approved powered industrial truck license.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.



  • High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years general experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience operating a stamping press in an industrial environment highly desired.
  • OSHA Forklift certification and/or the ability to obtain certification within 1 month of hire.
  • Die Setting Experience and experience with SMARTPAC Control Systems would be a plus.


Physical Requirements:


  • Must be able to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs, for 8-10 hours per day and, on occasion, lift and push up to 60 lbs. This capability will either be determined from a physical exam, or verifiable past performance.
  • Prolonged standing and/or sitting during a shift (8-10 hours) with frequent reaching, pulling and bending.

Work Environment:


  • Hot/cold temperatures based on seasonal variations
  • May be humidity, noise, odors, dust
  • Frequent exposure to chemical and mechanical hazards
