Reporting directly to the General Manager and indirectly to the SVP HR of IDEAL INDUSTRIES INC, the Manager of Human Resources strategically manages and supports all human resource related issues for a manufacturing facility with professional, production, technical, and administrative employees.

Responsibilities

  • Business Partner - Serve as a key member of the team to assist in driving business results.  Develop and drive people and organizational development strategies that are aligned with the business strategy.
  • Organizational Development - Partner with senior management to develop effective leadership and management succession planning.  Ensure creation of a talent pipeline, succession planning, management development and career development for employees.  Specific emphasis will be on recruiting process for key management positions and development of first-level supervisory talent. 
  • Change Agent - Partner with, and coach, the business leadership team to facilitate organizational and cultural change. Act as a catalyst for building Organizational Effectiveness within the business.  Educate the business on HR trends that affect the business. 
  • Human Resources Excellence - Work collaboratively to diagnose manager and Team Member capability needs and design ongoing learning and development plans. Consult with leadership team about implementing management capabilities that result in an open, inclusive and diverse environment based on Ideal values. 
  • Employee Advocate/Relations - Assist in building management capability to facilitate an open, inclusive, Ideal culture-based environment that enables effective employee relations.   Ensure role is perceived as an objective employee resource and escalation path for unresolved employee relations issues.   May conduct investigations and provide conflict resolution as necessary. 
  • Administration & Compliance – Oversee local benefits and compensation programs, performance management programs and government compliance, including maintenance of employee records and representing the company in unemployment, workers compensation, EEO, ADA, FMLA OSHA & EPA issues. 
  • Corporate Initiatives – Will be involved with corporate wide human resource initiatives and will interact and work closely with corporate human resources team.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related major required; an MBA and PHR/SPHR designations are preferred
  • 5 – 10 years of HR experience required. Background in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Background in Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing is a plus
  • Proven experience in leading process improvement teams
  • Must be a “hands-on” professional with a proven knowledge of employee relations, leadership development, training, organizational development, performance management, compliance issues, communications, salaried and hourly staffing, and compensation/benefit administration
  • Strong human resources generalist experience required.
