The National Account Manager is primarily responsible for the development, management and execution of sales to key strategic accounts in specific sales channels.  This position will also manage IDEAL sales growth by enhancing product offerings, doing competitive conversions and increasing IDEAL products in the market place.  



  • Have the ability to set the Strategic National Account Plan after thorough account and market reviews
  • Create the tactical deployment plans for all in field sales to implement, track results, and gauge areas for improvement for select significant Channel Accounts
  • Have the ability to both understand and develop account plans for business that operates through National Key Accounts
  • Development and execution of account specific incentive/loyalty plans consistent with corporate objectives in reengineering both category management and SKU support.
  • Fully understand the new effect of revenue, pricing, account costing with net effect to the channel P&L
  • Work with business unit teams in the area of product development and set sales deployment strategies in support of strategic product planning and new product sell through
  • Work with both channel accounts and product teams to develop creative account marketing and POP materials to drive sales initiatives.
  • Utilize POS data to more effectively manage the Ideal category mix and the profitability for both Ideal and channel customers.
  • Function as change agent to sales and internal organization.
  • Provide accurate market and industry forecasting.
  • Manage revenue growth and profitability of accounts.
  • Support and execute programs.
  • Forecasting and accurate market analysis.




  • Extensive account sales management experience with detailed accomplishments
  • Extensive channel and program headquarter account development background with related go-to-marketing filed sales implementation experience  
  • Ability to create and implement corporate Category Management programs that drive both product offering and related company financial returns
  • 5-10 years of channel sales/marketing experience with electrical parts or related products to wholesale and distributor markets.
  • Over quota wholesale or distributor account sales experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Preferably in Marketing / Sales Management)
  • Masters a plus
  • Travel:  50%
  • Work from home office and IDEAL Corporate
