This position is Friday through Monday 7AM to 5:30PM


  • Assist in direction of all shifts in the Injection Molding departmental operation to meet quality and productivity requirements.
  • Instructs trains, directs, and assists operators and set-up personnel in the safe operation and upkeep of Injection Molding equipment.
  • Performs changeovers and set-ups for molds in the department as dictated by production need.
  • Works with Engineering to document tooling and related machine parameters for set-ups.
  • Responsible for the development and start-up of new product processes.
  • Performs process development and improvement for the purpose of improving quality, reducing cycle time and reducing non-value added processes.
  • Responsible for the Preventative Maintenance program for all department equipment. Performs scheduled rebuild and overhaul of machines as well as doing on line overhaul and rebuilds as necessary.
  • Responsible for repair part inventory and vendor selection as well as reducing MRO costs.
  • Responsible for mold service area housekeeping.
  • Follow all safety procedures.
  • Other related duties as directed by management.





  • Mechanical problem solving aptitude and skill.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to operate various Powered Industrial Trucks as required.
  • Must be able to follow directions, both verbal and written, including simple assembly instructions and diagrams.
  • Ability to use various computer programs and functions such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, AS400, and Outlook.
  • For selected tasks, color and depth perception may be required.
  • Ability to perform routine computer data entry and queries is required.


  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Five years of manufacturing experience is desired.


  • Standing and/or walking while setting-up, maintaining, and monitoring machines and production, and performing other job functions.
  • Lifting and/or carrying up to approximately 5 lbs. while grinding and replacing parts and shafts.
  • Lifting and/or carrying up to approximately 60 lbs. while relieving or filling in for other department personnel.
  • Lifting and/or carrying over 60 lbs while replacing worn or damaged machine parts and performing other maintenance functions.
  • Occasionally pushing, stooping, and crouching while rolling wire reels weighing from 200 to 1000 lbs. onto machine feeders during machine set-up and change-overs.
  • Pushing and/or pulling objects while performing set-up, routine repair work, and preventative maintenance.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching while trouble-shooting machinery, performing machinery maintenance, and completing other job functions.
  • Reaching to obtain, remove, and install machine parts in plant equipment; and to perform other job functions.
  • Handling machine controls, parts, supplies, tools, and other related work materials in the course of completing job functions.
  • Visual acuity for detecting small parts or defects 1/16” and wire thickness of 1/64” in diameter.
  • Visual acuity from distances of 105 ft. for monitoring multiple coiling machines.
  • Depth perception for clearing jams, removing and installing machine parts, properly guiding wire through machines, and otherwise operating and/or maintaining machinery.
  • May be required to pass a physical exam for wearing a respirator, which is a requirement for certain jobs.
